SHERIFF'S MOUNTED POSSE

The Grant County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse is a group of volunteers
who provide a number of excellent services to the citizens of Grant County.
Services include but are not limited to:

Mounted search and rescue personnel

Participation in local parades

Mounted and un-mounted security for various functions

A series of play days for youth and adults. These are informal horse
shows featuring western performance, western equitation and games for
a low entry fee.

Other mounted or un-mounted activities as required by the Grant County
Sheriff
Members of the Posse must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Must be 21 years of age

High school graduate or G.E.D.

Valid Washington State drivers license
-
A resident of Grant County
-
May be required to submit to a medical exam, drug screen, fingerprinting,
polygraph test, psychological evaluation and/or background investigation
Members are also required to have a horse, suitable riding equipment
and equipment capable of hauling or transporting a horse.
